- Get a job. Like its just a simple to do that I can devote a weekend to and then cross off my list.
- Move into our new place. Once we figure out where that will be. And get a new place.
- Get Elwood acclimated to said new neighborhood.
- Get a statement jacket. I'm thinking a unique shade of blue. Or a pattern. A navy and white pattern that isn't too nautical perhaps?
- Clean out my closet of clothes I don't really wear or like that much.
- Run/exercise three times a week. Every week. Exceptions for vacations and serious illness.
- Become able to do ten proper push ups. In a row.
- Run a marathon. Signed up for Portland, so hopefully that one.
- Run a half marathon for a PR.
- Swim at least six times. In the entire year.
- Learn to use chopsticks well.
- Try seafood. See if allergy is over. Be prepared in case it's not.
- Take a cooking class.
- Take a bartending class.
- Find a local restaurant to become our go to place to replace the Italian restaurant in Munich just around the corner from our apartment. As if anything could replace it.
- Host a dinner party. Ideally a few, but I'll start with one.
- Host a kick ass bridal shower for Karina.
- Host a Christmas party. Serve glühwein in our mugs.
- Play tour guide Barbie for Scandinavian relatives in town for wedding.
- Volunteer at least twice. In the whole year. Setting the bar low so that I actually achieve this.
- Each month Skype/phone call / email chat with an old friend.
- Weekly blog update about status of my goals. Or maybe monthly.
- Try art nails at least once.
- Get dolled up at least once. Weddings count, if I'm not in it.
- Not buy any makeup, nail polish, lotion, face wash, etc unless it is to replace something I have used fully. I suspect this one will be among the hardest for me. Also, if people want to buy me these items as gifts, that would be ok.
- Properly remove all make up before going to bed every night.
- Finally part with all old crafting supplies that I haven't used in ages.
- Read a book a month. Starting five books in one month doesn't count. Need to finish one per month. I suspect a book club might help with this, but they usually don't cover books I'm interested in. Hmmm.
- Figure out something great for our ten year anniversary. Wedding party reunion??
- Go to Tahiti over water huts or somewhere equally great to utilize SPG (hotel) status before it expires.
- Make book out of blog and photos from Europe.
- Get someone to do a caricature drawing of Europe highlights for cover of the book.
- Finally get a will made up.
- Have more sangria. Sure I enjoyed lots of other things about Spain, but this seems easiest to bring back to the US, since I don't know that I can get an employer to be ok with me taking a three hour lunch/siesta break every afternoon.
34 for 33
This is a list of my goals for the upcoming year to make 33 my best, which will be quite a challenge since we are returning from living in Europe. Nonetheless, looking forward to a great year ahead!
